About us

The forge "Schmiede Neuhammer", built in 1586, is located in a historical complex of the smelting hut "Saigerhuette" in Olbernhau/ Ore Mountains.

The one-man business is headed by Albrecht Morgenstern.

Together with his employees they perform restoration and reconstruction work made of wrought iron and copper.

Furthermore they handle wrought bronze, brass, cast iron and stainless steel.

Ironwork for preservation of historical buildings, such as:

  • gates, fences, grids, canopies or historical locks and fittings as restoration and reconstruction work

  • sculptural copper embossed work

  • weathervane and ornamental work made of copper or other materials
